Relieve Migraine Headaches Naturally

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By Harry B Natural treatment methods for migraine headaches are usually harmless and cheaper than traditional pain medications. Sure, it is possible to have negative reactions to natural treatments, but the chances are much less than with medications. Different things work for different people. No two people are alike and a headache treatment method that works for one person may not work for another. But on the contrary, just because one method does not work for someone else does not mean it will not relieve your migraine headaches. There are many alternatives to taking medications when it comes to migraine headache relief. Chiropractic adjustments are surely the most popular form of natural headache relief. Patients with migraine headaches have been visiting chiropractors for decades, and with very good success, as many as 80% or more of headache patients find relief with chiropractic care. Spinal problems do cause headaches and chiropractors do an outstanding job of correcting spinal problems. Biofeedback is a training program designed to help a person develop the ability to control their autonomic (involuntary) nervous system. After learning the technique it is then possible for a person to control their heart rate, blood pressure, skin temperature, and of course, the relaxation of their muscles. Muscle tension can cause headaches and by relaxing muscles, especially in the neck, it is possible to relieve migraine headaches. Once the technique is learned there is no longer any need for the biofeedback equipment. The patient with migraine headaches can now produce the desired effect any time they wish. Sometimes too much salt can cause headaches. And by simply lessening the salt intake headaches can sometimes be prevented. continue… For More articles and information on migraine and migraine treatments visitTreatment-for-Migraines.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Harry_B http://EzineArticles.com/?Relieve-Migraine-Headaches-Naturally&id=397911 history of ambien affect ambien side ambien enlarged prostate phentermine cheap ambien cod

Evening Activities for a Stag Weekend in Bristol

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Brett Daneilson Ah, Bristol! If any city deserves the name of Home of Comedy, it must be Bristol. Home to Jongleurs and Jesters, a pair of world-class comedy clubs, and birthplace of Lee Evans, Justin Lee Collins and laughing gas, Bristol offers some unique possibilities for stag weekend activities. A Bristol stag weekend can combine an afternoon of paintballing, quad biking or five a side with an evening of carousing and comedy at one of Bristol’s rightfully famed comedy clubs. The traditional stag night of strippers and lap dances has more recently been replaced with an entire weekend’s worth of ‘guy fun’, often away from home so the scandalous naughty doings don’t trickle back to those who might care. If you’re planning a stag weekend for an upcoming wedding, a Bristol stag weekend offers many possibilities for memorable, unique stag activities. Among the many Bristol stag weekend activities that you might include are: :: Quad Biking at a Bristol course - An obstacle course run on quad bikes can kick off a stag weekend in Bristol with a bang. Get dirty, get the blood pumping and get the testosterone primed for a night on the town later. :: Assault Course - River rafting - upstream? A Bristol stag weekend favorite is an assault course that pits your team against the river - and other teams on a home-built raft made of articles bought in a ’ship’s store’. It’s another blood-raising activity that will prime the pumps for a hot night on the town later. :: Bavarian Bierkellar - Instead of a nightclub, take the Stag out for a beer-filled night at a mini-Munich Bierfest. With oversized steins of the best brews in the world, and lots of raucous fun, it’s a Bristol stag weekend standard. :: Comedy Club - Bristol is the home of comedy - and the comedians that play the Bristol comedy clubs are past masters at pointing the finger at stags out celebrating their last nights of freedom. No Bristol stag weekend would be complete without a night of gut-busting howlers at a Bristol comedy club. Blame it on the Carbs

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Bentley Thompson There is a low carb version of almost every food on the supermarket shelves nowadays. There is low carb ketchup, salad dressings, and even low carb beer! Is the carbohydrate content of our diet responsible for our size and our weight? I have two answers… yes and no. Stick with me, it gets crazy here. The low carb option in weight loss dieting continues to gain popularity. It seems like we are saying that carbohydrates are the reason we become overweight. Far from it. Carbohydrates are not the cause of our weigh problem Carbohydrates are a part of all the foods that nature prepares for us - nuts and grains, fruits, and vegetables. If you get the idea that I am saying it was not originally intended for humans to eat meat, you are right. I’m assuming you can follow my premise that humans came about according to the Creationists’ view of origins. I hope you’re comfortable with this. Grab a cool drink and try to relax in case this gets a bit hot for you. (And by the way, watch the carbohydrate content of the drink!) According to the Genesis account, there was no sin in the beginning, no animal got hurt, no animal died. So there was no beef, chicken, nor pork on the plates. In fact, the instruction was, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food (Genesis 1 verse 29).” You and I were designed to eat carbohydrates… and lots of it, too. And since that was perfect for our health then, it should still be great for us today. But that’s only half the story. But we made smart carbohydrates, and a disaster… We invented machines and processes that refine our food. We can even extract and preserve the nutrients from these foods, make them into pills and punches that are easy to carry around. Why eat an orange when we can drink the juice from a bottle of a cute box? Hey, we can even make vitamin C tablets. After all, it’s the vitamins we are after, we don’t need to eat the orange and let the juice run down our cheeks and soil our clothes. We can make low carbohydrate content foods too. We want to be able to drive all day or sit on our couches. It’s the 21st Century, we don’t need to walk anymore. Drive. Fly. Use the computer - we don’t have to move. So… Who needs all that carbohydrate in our food? Sugar tastes good anyway, so we add it to peanuts, cakes, even to our meat. You can hardly find anything without sugar. The no-so-sweet truth It’s not the carbohydrate that is to blame for our problem of being overweight, it’s our lifestyle. It seems we have decreased our level of physical activity, altered the natural quality of the food prepared for us by nature, and are taking in more calories that we need (or can use.) It’s not just one factor that is at the root of our problem of being overweight. It is all the habits and practices that constitute our lifestyle. So don’t blame the carbs. There is no need to switch to low carb diets. We just need to do simple things like, having a good breakfast, avoid snacking (avoid acid reflux problems too), eat complex carbohydrate and high fiber foods, exercise daily, and get enough rest. We were designed to function a certain way. If we don’t follow the Manufacturer’s recommendations we wreck the machine through improper operating procedures. Are you overweight or obese? Don’t blame it on the carbs. Change the habits. When it Comes to Multicultural Dating The Most Important Ingredient is Love

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Frank Duru Have you been only dating people from your own ethnic background, to find that no matter what you try, there just seems to be no spark or real passion occurring in the relationship? Are you just about ready to give up on finding a soul mate? Well before you lose all hope in the dating world, you may want to try exploring dating someone who comes from a different culture than you. Who knows, you may just discover that a multicultural relationship is what you need to discover that special spark youve been searching for. One of the best ways that you can explore your dating options, without having to worry about pressures from friends or family, is to join an online dating community, such as Love Empire, which is designed to bring you close to those who share the same interests as you, regardless if they are black, white, Eurasian and so on. Love Empire allows you the chance to really explore the beauty of the multicultural dating world with no strings attached, and no outside judgments interfering with your choices. In this online dating community the only opinion that matters when it comes to dating is your own. Therefore, listen to you heart, trust your feelings and use your common sense to decide whats best for you. Besides, the whole point to dating is to have fun, and to enjoy the company of the person you choose to be with. There is true potential in being apart of a multicultural relationship in todays society, as these relations have really become a more common and accepted part of Western culture. Because of this, blacks, whites, Eurasians and other ethnic groups have more reason to mix together than any other time in history. For instance, it has been estimated that in Britain alone, over 30 percent of black men are either living with or are married to white women, and over 20 percent of black women are living with or married to white men. When you stop to think about that, its truly beautiful to know that something such as multicultural relationships has grown from a small minority and become common and socially recognized. Dont be afraid to believe in love and companionship, no matter what others may think of your interracial dating. Remember, the most important ingredient to any relationship is love. No force on this Earth is greater than that of love, and once you find it gender, age, race, and religion are nothing more than small details that add to the beauty of the individual you love. Frank Duru is the author of many different articles but his works concentrate much on dating related information,. such as Asian Dating - Respect and Honour, Only You Can Decide If Your Interracial Love Will Stand the Test of Time. The Herbaceous or Perennial Border, Plant Selection and Planting Tips

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By James Kilkelly So, your perennial border is prepared with the requisite quantities of plant food soil and drainage grit if required. Whats next? Plant Selection Once you have gotten this far in the process, it is time to think about actually selecting the plants that will populate the bed or border itself. My first piece of advice to gardeners selecting perennial plants is to let your mind drift. Groupings of plants that weave and interlock with other groupings of plants within the same bed are known as drifts. One cluster of plants begins where another cluster ends and the groups have a flowing effect as they grow to bloom. The shapes that these drifts create should be irregular, weaving through your perennial border and wrapping around other plants. Planting in drifts creates a sense of movement, which in turn will make your garden look alive, full and lush. Select plants with interesting and contrasting textures. Plant fine leaved perennials with bold leaved specimens. Also, select different flower forms and shapes, select from tubular, loose, flat, round, pendulous spiked etc. Do not be afraid to include some non-perennials as well. Plants like Phormium, Cordyline, ornamental conifers and grasses all add structure and body to the perennial border. When selecting colours be guided by the following Drifts of light or pastel coloured flowers tend to fade into the background, so the quantities of these colours should be larger than the drifts of vivid colours. If you find yourself having colour clashes (red / pink), try creating buffers between these colours with massed plantings of ornamental grasses or plain green leaved plants. Planting Rules To ensure rapid establishment and growth of a perennial or herbaceous border it is important to follow a few simple planting rules. Water your perennial even before planting. Immerse the pots in water-filled containers for about 10 minutes before planting is the best method, after this time remove them and allow the surplus water to drain away. Remove the pot and if the plant roots are wrapped tightly you should gently tease some free. This will cause new roots to branch out into new soil instead of continually encircling themselves. When creating a planting hole, the ideal situation would be to make it twice as wide and deep as the pot, dont forget to break up the soil as you dig. The planting depth can be just as important with some perennials, with certain varieties refusing to bloom or thrive if planted at an incorrect depth. A good rule of thumb to follow is to never plant any higher or deeper than the compost level on the pot. Position the plants in the prepared holes and firm the soil around the roots. Water thoroughly and deeply afterwards; continue doing this twice weekly for a few months to aid establishment. Certain perennials are quite tall upon purchase, I would advise you to reduce these in height to prevent plant failure due to wind rock. Although bark mulch is not a traditional material used on herbaceous borders, the addition of it to soil around your plants will save weeding and retain valuable moisture. A 5 to 8cm (2 - 3in) layer of bark is sufficient for this purpose. James Kilkelly is a freelance horticulturalist and garden writer for four Irish regional newspapers. 101 Ways to Build Happy, Lasting Relationships - Part 5

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By Mia LeCron 13. Dinner Party Start a new tradition of hosting a dinner party every other month or two and inviting several of you and your mates friends. Set up board games that everyone will enjoy, have some light and lively music playing, and plan to have a blast. Spending time with friends in this kind of setting is a great way to reduce stress. When stress is low, couples get along better. This is a wonderful way to interact with each others friends as a couple. 14. Happy Birthday As people grow older, in general, birthdays become less celebrated. Gifts are quickly given, meals eaten, and it is over. For your mates next birthday, take some time to plan something very special. Make this a true celebration of their life as a way of showing your love and appreciation. Every person, even adults, like attention and love to be appreciated. Whether a surprise party or not, your mate will be impressed that you went to all the effort just for them. 15. Secret Getaway Plan a nice weekend getaway to some place off the beaten track where you can enjoy some privacy. A quaint cottage or charming bed and breakfast would be ideal choices. Scout out the area ahead of time and choose a few things that the two of you would like to do in the area but just be sure to leave plenty of time for you to enjoy some alone time. Order a nice bottle of wine or some hot cappuccino and relax in front of the fire! Make this a romantic weekend where you can rekindle your love. Tips for Hosting a Dinner Party

Friday, March 14th, 2008

By Melanie Breeze There is nothing like an evening of good friends and good conversation. If you love to entertain friends and co-workers, but lack the funds for a traditional dinner party, you are in luck. If you shop smart, it doesnt take a lot of money to throw an event that will make you the envy of your social circle. When all else fails, consider a potluck. Have each one of your guests bring their favorite dish or appetizer. It can be a lot of fun to try new recipes and variations. First off set the mood! A good dinner party is all about ambiance. Consider going to your local dollar store or discount store to purchase some inexpensive tapers and candles. They are an easy way to brighten up a room, and encourage conversation. Dont be afraid to try something fun, either. Try a themed party like a Hawaiian theme, or an 80s theme. The possibilities are endless, and it will help break the ice among your guests. Encourage your guests to dress up, for instant glamour. Once you have the mood set, its time to think about food. Contrary to popular belief, you dont have to serve a seven course meal. Stick with cheap appetizers and fingers foods. Fondue parties are a blast to throw, and cost very little to pull off. Encourage your guests to bring their favorite dippers, to save you even more. A wine tasting party is also a fun event, and can cost you almost nothing to throw. Ask each guest to bring a bottle of their favorite wine. All you have to do is supply the wine glasses! If you choose to go a more traditional route, try buying your food online. There are many websites that sell discount goodies, and you can save even more by using an e-coupon site. If you go through one of these coupon sites you can purchase lobsters, wine, chocolate, steaks, appetizers, and just about anything else you can think of. It only takes a few minutes to shop, and many vendors offer free shipping. It couldnt be easier! Pay special attention to the dinner party invitations. A good invitation will help convey the theme of the party, and instruct the guests on any food or items that they need to bring to the event. You can create cheap, one-of-a-kind invitations, by using supplies available at your local craft supply store. Each invitation shouldnt cost more a few cents a piece. Dont forget to address the envelope in your own handwriting; it gives it a personal touch. Good luck! Melanie Breeze, avid online shopper and user of food coupons at CouponChief.com, is always shopping around for the best deals. You can find discounts and free shipping available for stores all over the web at CouponChief, all in one location. Make sure to get a food coupon for any online food purchase! Get Rid of Those Ants Review

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

By Saundra Jackson In my research I found that there are literally thousands of ways to control and kill ants. However, only a handful of methods that are really effective. If you have ever watched ants at work they resemble a well-organize military unit. They appear to be well trained locators of food and water. Ants are very tenacious and when there is any food or water to be located they will find it. 12,000 species of ants exist in the world with over 200 species in California alone. The life expectancy of ant is only 45-60 days. An ant brain has about 250,000 brain cells. The human brain has 10,000 million brain cells, but a colony of 40,000 ants has the same brain capacity as a human. When it rains you will see fewer ants running around. In dry weather ants will multiply very quickly. You can give the queen heartburn with this mixture: 3 Ounces of Strawberry jam (any sweet jam will do) 1 Tablespoons of wet, canned cat food (cheap brand) 1 Tablespoon of boric acid This concoction is a treat for ants and the workers will bring the treat to their queen. The queen gets excited and quickly gobbles up the goody and within a few hours dies of heartburn. Make sure this treat is out of reach of children and animals. If ingested by children and animals, it will make them very sick. But, it doesnt take very much to eliminate the queen. 10 ways that will you get rid of ants If you have a bad ant problem and cant get rid of them, distract them away from you property by putting a slice of watermelon or cantaloupe in your yard far away from your house. Other than honey this will keep them away.If you have window boxes, clean them out and whitewash them.Soybean (glycine max) is an excellent and repellant and has been used for many years in Africa. Just prepare the spray by soaking the plant stems in water for 24 hours then using the water as a spray. This also works for aphids and coding moths.Place diatomaceous earth (DE), powdered charcoal, powdered pyrethrum-silica dust or bone meal around the base of the plants in an area; in which the ants are bothering the plants.Sprinkle some fresh tansy leaves in the corners of your kitchen counter and in the windowsills it will repel ants 100%.A vinegar cleaner can be used to wipe down cabinets and floors. Just mix a solution 1 cup vinegar to about 2 gallons of water should do the trick.Buy instant grits (make sure it’s instant grits and not quick grits) and sift them where you see the ants.Put a barrier between the ants and you. Anything in crystal or flake form can be used to deter them. Salt, black pepper, red pepper, baking soda, talcum powder… the list goes on. (Used coffee grounds are said to be especially effective, even against fire ants.) Why does this work? Imagine yourself faced with a shoulder high snow drift that’s too soft to hold your weight. Would you go through it if you didn’t have to? Not hardly!Ants don’t care for mint or citrus, cloves or bay leaves, so think orange peel, peppermint tea, lemon juice, ground cloves, etc. If you can plant mint around the foundations of your home, you may deter them from entering. Vinegar has the same acid as citrus, so use it to clean with and ants won’t feel welcome. (It probably erases or overpowers the odor trail other ants have left for them to follow.)Another way to get rid of ants is to remove what makes your living space so attractive. What will really help you get rid of ants is cleaning up any crumbs and spills, and not leaving pet food in bowls overnight. Start by cleaning up, sealing entryways, and trying to find the nest. Just eliminate their food source. Heres a killer Ant Ambrosia 4-5 tbsp of cornmeal 3 tbsp of bacon grease 3 tbsp of baking powder 3 packages of bakers yeast Mix the cornmeal and bacon grease into a paste, then add the baking powder and yeast. Dab the gooey mix on the sides of jar lids, and set them near the anthills. The pesky critters will love it to death!
